Our special day and night.
Our special day and night.
[Finishing reading @EllenShelton_ ‘s post. Smiling.] Haven’t stopped smiling since we said I do again. Is it possible that your face can truly get stuck in a frozen emotion? You know the saying…”careful your face might get stuck that way.” [chuckle] Mine can get stuck this way all it wants to….

Back in bed after a very late lunch looking down at the rings on my finger. Mine and Kerry’s wedding ceremony still playing loud and clear in my thoughts from last night. The ceremony on the beach was beautiful. We looked into each others eyes never once looking back at the officiant as he spoke. We only had eyes for each other. After a late dinner served on a secluded part of the beach reserved just for us we spent the night in each others arms vowing to never leave the others side. On the beach, up in the honeymoon suite much later and we have yet really to leave the room since he carried me, traditionally, over the threshold last night. I only remember two times in my life before being this happy.
The first was when Kerry and I got married, (the 1st time) the second was the day Melinda and Melisa were born. This makes the third and you know what they say?
Third Times A Charm….
Leaving the envelope under @KerryShelton_’s pillow. Anxious to wear the Valentines gift he gave me once the girls go to bed. It’s beautiful. (Smiles thinking of him shopping for something so intimate) http://tumblr.com/x711ifw0b4
I hope he likes the gift I got him. (Us) Second chances deserve a second honeymoon. -
The painting is done. The furniture in place. Standing back, looking at the finished product. No, more than just a product. A home. New beginnings. Me, @KerryShelton_ @MelindaShelton_ and @MelisaShelton_ A family. Whole and together.
(Walks up the stairs, into Kerry’s room. Straightening the comforter on the bed, pillows just so so. Smiles)
It’s perfect.
(Taking in the colors of the room. Warm and inviting. Not to feminine, not to manly. Perfect)
He’ll like it. These last few days a mad house to get it all done and in place. The delay from the furniture company only gave me more time to finish painting and planning.
(Walks out and into the girls room. First one then the other)
They’ll love it. We had fun picking out the different things for each room. The colors, the bedding and curtains. It felt good to be with them like this. A family.
(Walks down the stairs to the kitchen)
I can’t wait for Kerry to get home and see it all like this. I feel confidant that he’ll be fine with the changes in his bedroom. (Smiles, shakes my head) Correction. Soon it will be our bedroom…
[Laying in my bed, arms behind my head.] She’s just down the hall. One door down, sleeping soundly, or is she? I’ve barely slept. [Rolling over onto my side, my eyes close remembering.] I can remember clearly the way we were together.
The sounds she made, the sigh when I reached over and woke…
